My name is Ivonne, and my mission is to be a part of a sustainable, honest, and energetically positive partnership with all living things. My educational and professional path has led me to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and through this perspective I am dedicated to social justice. Personally, I am committed to challenging the dominant, patriarchal norms that value whiteness over color, straightness over queerness, and men over women.

I come from a multi-ethnic, cultural, religious and multi-class background. I understand that none of our stories look the same and healing looks different for all of us. With over 10 years of experience, I offer a warm, relatable, direct and often humorous approach. I draw from an eclectic array of therapeutic modalities and my approach will vary depending on your specific needs. I focus on treating root causes, not just symptoms. 

I believe the highest knowledge of the self comes from within and our life experiences have the power to shape how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us. Sometimes our experiences have brought pain or other emotions that have caused us to disconnect. I believe we have learned ways to protect ourselves from unbearable pain by denying our true desires, wants, and needs. When we deny parts of ourselves, we suffer, feel lost, stuck, broken, and hopeless. Let’s try something different by dismantling old stories that are not ours to hold, dive into your truth and rewrite the script.
